Job Title: Mid-Senior Full Stack Developer - Javascript

Location: Glasgow (Bridgeton) – However we are working from home just now, with no immediate need to be back in the office. When we are able to return, a space will be there for you should you wish to work in the office.
Type of contract: Permanent (with standard 3 months probationary period).
Type of role - Full time role: 37.5 hours per week. We are flexible with working patterns. Please let us know what your requirements are, we are open to suggestions.
Salary range: £40,000 - £50,000
Start date: March 2020
Why we need you
We are looking for a Senior Developer for our new web application – Sherpa. As you’ll be part of a brand-new team, you will have a lot of input into how the application is developed, what tools the team will be using, and how the team is run. This role is ideal for someone who is a mid-level developer ready to move into a senior position. We will support you as you grow into your new role.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Developer you will be responsible for the team as well as the application. At least 75% of your time will be spent programming and the other 25% will be split between various tasks, such as assigning work to colleagues, code reviews, design meetings, and other administrative tasks. You will also be expected to be a good role model for more junior members of the team.
From the coding perspective, you will be expected to have a lot of input into the architecture and hands-on coding of the backend and frontend of the application, as well as the database structure, dev-ops, and unit tests. You will also be responsible for getting the application to a production environment and moving it live.

- Minimum 5 Years software development experience
- 3 Years React experience
- 3 Years NodeJS experience
- 1 Year Cloud (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) experience
- MySQL experience (or other relational databases)
- Practical Team Leadership Experience in an Agile Environment
Great to have but not essential:
- Experience mentoring junior developers
- Interviewing experience
